The Basics of Star Ludo (StarLudo)
Star Ludo is played on a square board with four colored corners (bases): Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue. Each player has 4 tokens in their respective base. The goal is to move all four tokens from your base, around the perimeter track of the board, and into the center Home Triangle before your opponents do.
1. The Golden Rule of Six (Opening a Token)
When a match begins, all four of your pawns sit locked in your corner base. To release a pawn onto the starting square of the main board track, you must roll a 6 on the dice.
- Rolling a 6 earns you an immediate Bonus Turn!
- You can either unlock a new token from your base or move an already active token forward by 6 spaces.
- Rolling three consecutive 6s voids your third turn to ensure fair balance.
2. Navigating the Board Track
Once on the track, tokens move in a clockwise direction according to the number rolled on the single six-sided dice (1 to 6).
- Capturing / Cutting Opponents: If your token lands on an exact square occupied by an opponent's token, their token is captured and sent back to their base! Plus, you receive an immediate bonus dice roll!
- Safe Star Zones (โญ): Squares marked with a Star symbol (as well as each player's starting square) are Safe Zones. No token can be captured while resting on a Star safe square. Multiple tokens from different players can safely share these spots.
3. Entering the Home Column & Winning
After completing a full circuit around the board, your tokens enter your colored Home Path. Tokens in this column are 100% safe from rival capture.
To reach the center Home Triangle, you must roll the exact number required. The first player to successfully guide all 4 tokens into the center Home is crowned the Star Ludo Champion!
